Rice Cooker Banana Bread

As I previously mentioned, I finally got around to doing some baking in Japan with my rice cooker! So for anyone in Japan wanting to try it out, here’s a simple recipe that’s hard to mess up! Happy baking!

Rice Cooker Banana Bread

1 1/2 c. flour
3/4 c. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2-3 mashed bananas
1/3 c. softened butter
1/4 c. milk
1 egg
1 tsp. cinnamon

Ingredients, Japanese-style. Beer in background optional but recommended.

Directions: Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon and salt. Mix. Add bananas, butter, milk, and egg and mix well. If needed, coat your rice cooker with butter to prevent sticking. Poor mixture in, and hit start!

My rice cooker has a cake setting, so I clicked that, and put it on for about 25-30 minutes. Keep an eye on it and take it out when it looks done!

Simple & delicious! Enjoy!

Looks delish, if I do say so myself.
